My female nord dovahkiin... and no, this isn't spoiler-y, unless I've become significantly more precognitive. Dragons should be able to wreak in-town destruction post-intro!
Previous Skyrim art:
I have to give a lot of inspirational credit to malufenix's beautiful "The Dragonborn Comes" cover.
Many of the pieces from this gallery are available as prints through ghostfire.net or specifically at the ghostfire market.
Awesome work, loads of great action, I agree, when a Dragon attacks buildings should shatter like matchsticks. The Red sash is a great touch adds a nice bit of colour, as is the Flame atronach. The dragon is beautuifuly done, the shot looks very alive. Just a really great piece. Oh and I certainly agree with you about malufenix's DragonBorn Comes cover, loads of insporation to be found there.
The way Alduin ruined Helgen was epic, but after that, Dragons were actually pretty weak and from some point on little more than annoying. If they could still damage cities and the people would run away from them and scream for help and so on... That would have maintained their epicness.
Very impressing work you have done here!
Someone just has to remake Skyrim larger with voxels for that to happen!
Voxels are that novelty thing in games that allow buildings to be properly destroyed, just like the heaps of bricks that they are!
"Game Logic" letting you chop off heads but not demolish a frail wooden door with a warhammer? Voxels will have that sorted out in less than 3 years, and no game attempting to be called respectable will be made without voxels after that. There's a few already hatching in Kickstarter.
By the looks of it, its inspired on ingame armor sets, not a direct copy
I'd say Fur armor and Scaled armor along with some extra touches which make it so superb (yet lore friendly) looking
