First Night by ghostfire First Night by ghostfire
All the ceremony is over and they're alone together for the first time, but this is an arrangement she had little to do with. He was three hundred years her senior and his reputation unknown. The handkerchief wrinkles between her fingers as she tries to hold back her fears.

This is very lovely--also, it has a certain sharpness and austerity that is different from many of your other works.

Great image once again, your unique style always works great. I love the emotion portrayed in this piece, very nice and touching :)

Lovely piece, my only complaint is that reflections are usually a bit paler, quieter, and more photographic than the actual place..

Amazing pic, the colouring is breathtaking.
So much detail to stare at! Love the contrast between their appearances, she looks so pure and ethereal, he so cold and mysterious. Wonderful work.

Again, I'm thrilled to see new work from you :worship: since you shut the livejounal account to private a while ago. Its a nice story to go with it.

Excellent! 's been a long time since I've seen you submitting anything, and this is a very good comeback! I'd just wish there was a bit more going on in the reflections, maybe if you could see some background, or maybe even catch a glimpse of the artist herself, like in van Eycks weddingportrait? (Which this sorta reminds me of...)

That dress is really cool!

The detail here amazes me and the patterns you've used in everything look great... You've a wonderful style, think I've seen some of your works before on your website perhaps.

Her anxiety is really palpable, and he seems almost.. It's hard to say, part of me wants to assume him to be a bit smug, while the other half says he's stopped just short of trying to comfort her, that maybe he feels a bt sorry for her.

My only complaint is that it almost seems a bit small, even the full-sized image, as I'd love to see some close-up detail of the dress, and especially their faces and eyes.

Very lovely piece ^_^

Oh man this is awesome! The reflections *BOTH of them* are just wow. They totally match up with the female figure perfectly. The dress is uberly beautiful and the gentleman is very nice on the eyes. Gah and the golden ornamentation on the furniture in the room... O_O This is just really beautiful, Julia. Great job :) Who are these characters, btw? I don't think I'm familiar with them.
