Was anyone there this weekend? This was a rush commission for Anime Overload's program guide and badges. They didn't really have a mascot yet, so I came up with these two. Her name is Sara. She's a typical Austin high school student who loves swimming, adding to her flip-flop collection, and everything otaku. His name is Herbert - a member of a race of bewinged bunny people. Herbert is a bit of a lech, though, and while chasing after some girl bunnies he gets very, very lost. Eventually he winds up at an anime convention, where he sees Sara and (mistaking her hair for a beautiful set of bunny ears) falls head over heels for her.

It always amuses me how our styles seem to have swapped, not that I don't draw in super-animu style anymore. But it's fun having multiple styles to play with, no? :D

And good! I'm glad you're finally doing art for badges! Sick of the either poorly-drawn crap or random anime titles for them. XD

They wanted a random, anime-style girl within 24 hours, so going super simple was the only way to do it. :P I'm wasting all of my good drawing on horrible commissions. -_-

Hasn't it always been that way, though? *helpless shrug* I'd like to say at least you're getting paid, but...yeah. It's always gonna be better when you actually like what you're doing. Serena just paid me to do a group shot of her uberfic peoples, similar to the random one I did recently. I know you can draw your own people just fine, but if you want, I can toss in a freebie of your group. I think it'd be cool to have the original trio of teams somewhere, even if we can't use yours anymore in the rewrite.
